Sharon Lynn Dirst
June 16, 1946 - September 19, 2025
Sharon L. Dirst, 79, of East Peoria, passed away peacefully Friday, September 19, 2025 at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.
She was born June 16, 1946 in Peoria to Ramon and Lovell (Shaw) Franks. She married Michael A Dirst on September 2, 1989 in East Peoria. He survives along with one daughter, Traci (Andy) Sullivan of Morton and two step sons, Greg (Jen) Dirst of El Paso and Mark Dirst of Pekin. 8 grandchildren: Maggie and Max Sullivan, Samantha Johnson, Brittany, Devin & Chayse Dirst, Jaelyn & Jacey Dirst. She also had 6 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by one brother, John (Sharon) Franks of Texas and one sister, Cindy Wilson of East Peoria and one sister-in-law, Linda Franks of East Peoria. As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sharon was preceded in death by both her parents, and most recently, her baby brother, Leonard Franks.
Sharon worked for Caterpillar for 25 years before retiring in 2003.
She was a lifelong member of East Peoria Mennonite Church.
The family has chosen to have a private family celebration at a later date.
