Shirley Yvonne Davis

East Peoria - Shirley Yvonne Davis, 82, of East Peoria, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Unity Point Health - Methodist in Peoria. She was born on December 16, 1938 in Flemington, MO, a daughter of Kenneth and Beulah (Sapp) Crackel. She married Frank Russell Davis on August 2, 1964 in East Peoria. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2005 in Peoria.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elizabeth (Richard) Pitts; and brothers, Kenny and Danny Crackel.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Greg) Kapraun of Metamora; granddaughter, Kim (Stuart) Jacob of Germantown Hills; grandson, Nathan (Carina) Kapraun of Astoria; four great-grandchildren, Madisyn, Katelyn, Brooks, and Briar; niece, Debbie (Don Urquhart, Jr.) Perdun; great-nephew, Michael (Bree) Perdun; and four great-great-nieces, Peyton, Presley, Parker, and Paige.

Shirley always put everyone first especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to watch sports and her favorite teams were the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. She always got excitement from watching NASCAR. She loved cooking and baking, always having family over almost every Sunday when she could cook a homemade meal from scratch. She loved birthdays and holidays and would always over indulge in gift giving, which put a smile on her face to watch everyone open their gifts. Shirley will be remembered for her caring, loving, and warm heart and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Shirley's graveside service will be private at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria has been entrusted to care for her arrangements.
