

She was born Nov. 5, 1960 in Peoria to Austin, Jr. “Jay” and Jeanetta (Shults) Elliott,
Survivors include her mother and step-father: Jeanetta (Gene) Cooper of Peoria, father and step-mother: Jay (Beckie) Elliott of Peoria, two sons: Courtney Johnson of Peoria, Lukas Hoerr of Peoria. She was also a grandmother “Mamaw” to five grandchildren and they were her “Babies”, Isaiah, Brooklyn, Davonte, Shauntasiana, Kyla, and three sisters: Teri (Ken) Lynch of Dunlap, Kelli (and Dennis Tipsword) of East Peoria, Kandi Nibbelin of West Peoria, one nephew, Corey (Carly) Lynch, three nieces: Nicole Hatch, Brandy (Kerry) Yocum, Heather Nibbelin, one great-niece, Krysta, maternal grandmother, Willie Goodrich, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a very special uncle, Brian Shults.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Austin Elliott, Sr, and Lloyd Shults, Sr., grandmothers, Stella Elliott, and Icy Donley, and one infant brother, Mark Todd.
She was a 1978 graduate of Manual High School and received her nursing degree in 1996 from OSF in Peoria. She also served in the United States Army from 1980 – 1981, stationed in Germany. She worked as an RN for Methodist Medical Center, OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Washington Christian Village, and Morton Villa Nursing Homes. Her patients loved her and she had that special gift working with the elderly.
She was a special fan of Betty Boop, country music, and the color red.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be Saturday Dec. 4, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. A visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria at a later date.
Memorials may be made to an education fund for her children.
