Verna M Hardman

   She was born May 5, 1935 in Pontiac, IL to Remus and Jennie (Rutherford) Davidson.  She married Merle E. Hardman in Peoria on Dec. 20, 1953.  He died Nov. 3, 1979.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; 1 niece and 1 nephew.

   Surviving are 3 children, Mary (Tim) Briggs of MI, Mike (Laura) Hardman of Peoria, Larry Hardman of Peoria Heights; 6 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter; 1 sister, Betty (Steve) Seckler of Washburn; 1 brother, Alvin (Alberta) Davidson of IN; and several nieces and nephews.

   Verna worked for Sears for 19 years before retiring in 2002.  She was a member of Averyville Baptist Church in East Peoria.

   Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with Rev. David Coyle officiating.  Visitation will be one hour before services.  Burial will be at Sparland Cemetery in Sparland.
