Vivian Houseweart

She was born Jan. 21, 1923 in Peoria to Albert and Pearl Violet (Barr) Gomez. She first married Jay Edward Kee, then married Sylvan Houseweart, then later married Tony Schwindinhammer, Sr. She was preceded in death by her three husbands, two sisters, and three brothers.

Survivors include five children: Suzanne (Philip) Auth of Twin Falls, ID, Victoria (Robin) Akins of East Peoria, Joanne (James) Dahmm of Bushnell, James (Janice) Kee of East Peoria, Sylvan Houseweart III of Vero Beach, FL, eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

Vivian was an upholsterer for many years at Fredman Brothers Furniture retiring in the late 1980’s. She was a member of the Wilson Garden Club of Peoria.

Funeral services will be Saturday Aug. 31, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice organization of your choice.
