Mrs. Lois Evelyn Wright Akin, age 87, of East Point, GA passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013. She is survived by her son, John P. Akin, Jr. (Susan); daughters, Phyllis Youngblood (Tom), Janice Burroughs, Sharon Noland, and Susie Carelton(Chris); 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in East Point, GA on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, GA.
