Walt and I were sorry to hear about your dad.  He had a smile everytime he was at our Rose Society functions, a true gentleman.

I am sorry for your loss.  What a long life he lived though.  I'll never forget being your next door neighbors.

I saw Virlyn only once over the 60 years that have passed since we left Russell High School, but I'll never forget his generous spirit and unfailing smile. What a wonderful, memorable gentleman we have lost.

Mike and Gary, I am so sorry for your loss of your Dad..  I remember the day he and Dorothy were wed.  I helped tie the cans on the back of his Oldsmobile when they left the church.  Everybody loved Virlyn.  He was always cheerful and smiling.  That is how I will always remember him.    It was just his time to go so God took him.  But he will live in peace forever now.

I am so very sorry that Sandy and I will be out of town on the day of the funeral and will not be able to attend.  However, our prayers go out to you both to help get past your loss.   Virlyn is already in a safe place.

Virlyn being gone is like an end to a legacy. Always remember him cutting the Turkey on Thanksgiving, allowing my family to go see the Falcon's in Awesome seats, but most of all, his laugh and smile. I never saw him in a bad mood or unhappy....Just always smiling and being happy in life. GOD'S Greatest gift to me during my childhood! Him and his Family!!! The cat's are going to miss him even more!!! THANKS for directing me into Architecture...

I lost my step-dad Tom Walston in 1988, I lost my real dad Hershel Tolbert in 1996 and my mothers boyfriend Denny Heffington of 11 years in 2009.The pain will heal in time and you will always have memories and nothing or no one can take that away.
