Betty was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. After high school she worked with Dr. J. Harold Smith Radio Bible Home. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and was very involved with the Bethel Bible Village. She was retired from Combustion Engineering as a Mail Room Clerk for 40 years where she was involved with the company softball league and other activities. Betty loved horses and enjoyed going to the Kentucky Derby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Christian and Della Lehman; five brothers, Edgar, C.A. Jr., Jack,Bill and Joe; and two sisters, Elizabeth Brooks and Martha Barksdale Archer.
Surviving are her sister-in-law, Emma Lehman; and several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Graveside Services will be at 11AM Friday, February 26, 2016 at Greenwood Cemetery.
