

Carol Miller Maxwell, 84, of Chattanooga, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 31, 2020. She was a long-time member of Wauhatchie United Methodist Church serving many years on the Missions Committee and starting the Church Food Pantry. She was a graduate of Bledsoe County High School. During her career, she worked at several credit unions in the Chattanooga area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Maxwell, her parents, Frank and Pauline Thompson, and her brother, Edward Thompson.
Survivors include her children, Cindy (Eddie) Baker and Vonda (Mike) Patrick; three grandchildren, Brad (Meredith) Baker, Brittany (James) Palmer, and Matthew Patrick; five great-grandchildren, Olivia Torbett, Liam Baker, Savannah Palmer, Ayrton Palmer, and Eleanor Palmer, all of Chattanooga. She is also survived by her brother James (Marian) Thompson of Georgia.
Graveside services will be at 12:00 pm Monday, January 4, 2021 at Lakewood Memorial Gardens West with Pastor Tommy Messer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wauhatchie United Methodist Church, 3401 Cummings Highway, Chattanooga, TN 37419.
Due to Covid-19, we request that mask be worn at all times during the graveside service and that all Hamilton County and the CDC’s mandates be adhered to.
