Dale I. Bettis

Dale I. Bettis, 57, of Chattanooga passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010 in a local hospital. Dale fought a hard but short battle against cancer. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was preceded in death by his father, John A. Bettis, Jr.. A graduate of East Ridge High School, he was a former employee of Yerbey Concrete Construction Company and was an avid collector of memorabilia as related to the America Pickers TV Show. He also loved boating and taking care of his kitties. He is survived by his mother, Anna L. Webb Bettis, Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; Yvonne Grady who considered Dale her hero and best friend, and her brother, Jimmy Miller and his family; sister, Darlene Yerbey and husband Gary, Chattanooga; two nieces, Lindsey and Lacey Yerbey; nephew, Logan Yerbey.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

A Memorial Service will be at 11:30 AM on Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Steve McCary officiating.

Funeral arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road.
