David Lawrence Rack
David Lawrence Rack, 78, died peacefully on August 13, 2021 surrounded by his beloved children. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he will be remembered for his strength, courage, and unconditional love to his family. David was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Air Force who served his country in the Vietnam War. David retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation after thirty years as a Special Agent, followed by ten years as an investigator for Unum Insurance. He enjoyed his retirement years with his wife Sondra, spoiling his grandchildren, singing in the Choo Choo Chorus, and cooking large meals for his family. Some of the happiest times were in recent years when the family would gather together at the beach and prepare enough food “to feed a Field Army.”
David is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Sondra and survived by his siblings, James Rack, Laurie Rack, and Geoffrey Rack; his children, Marie (Kyle) Stone, Rachael (Dan) Szymanski, Matthew (Sheri Goulart) Rack, Sarah (Zach) Moody, and Anna (David) Roberts; his grandchildren, David Stone, Lauren Stone, Zander Moody, Olivia Moody, Beth Szymanski, Gabby Szymanski, Sam Rack, Liam Roberts, and Savannah Roberts. Due to COVID-19, the family will hold a private service followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
