

Dean Culpepper Sircy, 86, of Chattanooga passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013. She was born October 10, 1926 at Valley Head, Alabama a daughter of the late Milton Homer and Clara Maude Culpepper.
Dean graduated from Valley Head High School class of 1943 and Edmondson Business College in 1944 and was employed by First Federal Savings and Loan (Regions Bank) for 43 years retiring in 1987.
She was an active member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the McAllister Bible class for over 62 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Sircy; four brothers, Earl Culpepper, Eugene “Skeet” Culpepper, R.B. Culpepper and L.D. Culpepper; two sisters, Lucille Culpepper and Juanita Culpepper Gallups; two nephews, Sonny Culpepper and Milton Culpepper.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Donna (Earl) Phillips, Susan (David) Goff, Sue (Jim) Collins, Dr. Ann Culpepper, Deanna (Austin) Melvin, Debbie (Dave) Gatti, Melinda (Steve) Smith, Dennis (Sandra) Gallups, Robert (Mattilyn) Culpepper, Chris Culpepper (wife of the late Milton Culpepper); many great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Lanny Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 PM Tuesday at the church.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Life Care Center of East Ridge, Elmcroft Assisted Living of Shallowford and Dr. John Cranwell.
