She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Belle Thornbury Hulgan; three sisters, Alice Mae Hulgan, Betty Guice and Frances Castleberry; one brother, Richard Hulgan.
Survivors include five children, Debra Gilbert West (James), Linda Gilbert Lankford (Don), Ricky Gilbert (Tina), Mike Gilbert (Tina) and Retha Gilbert; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Hulgan (Martha) and Ronald Hulgan; one sister, Joyce Wainwright (James); several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Grisham, the Rev. Wayne Hindman and the Rev. Lloyd Harvill officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
