Dorothy Nancy Pannell Brown, 89, of Chattanooga died Tuesday, July 09, 2013 at a local nursing home after a lengthy illness. She was born April 22, 1924 in Knoxville, Tennessee a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Pannell and Lydia Margaret Walden Pannell. She was preceded in death by her husband Oliver James Brown.
She was the owner of Dot’s Ceramics on Rossville Boulevard. Mrs. Brown was of the Christian Faith.
Survivors include daughters Judy Brown Mathis and Charlotte Brown Lowe; sister Helen Pannell Cooper; grandchildren Stephen Mathis, Christy Mathis Miller, Lisa Morgan Mendenhall, Andrew Lowe and Alison Lowe Leon and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, July 12 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Philip Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-8 Thursday.
