

She was born in Chattanooga on May 23, 1933 to Aileen Greer and George Hardy Jones. She graduated from Chattanooga High School and the University of Chattanooga (UTC), where she was a member of Chi Omega Fraternity.
Dudley was a longtime member of Central Presbyterian Church, and later became an active member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church. She was a member of The Garden Club of Signal Mountain, Questers, and a past member of the Chattanooga Realtors Association. Dudley’s greatest joy was her family, and she especially cherished her five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Owen Cecil Leslie, Jr.; a son, Owen Cecil Leslie III and wife Donna of Evergreen, Colorado; a daughter, Mary Leslie Scott and husband Andy of Greensboro, North Carolina; and her grandchildren Dominick Garland Leslie, Gina Marie Leslie, Samuel Joseph Leslie, William Andrew Scott, and John Leslie Scott. She is also survived by a sister, Nancy E. Jones, and a sister-in-law Jeanne Leslie Ray and husband William of Birmingham, Alabama as well as two nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church with Dr. William E. Dudley officiating. Visitation will be held following the service in the greeting room of the church. A private burial will be at National Cemetery.
