Frankie Libby Pearce, 76, of Chattanooga formerly of Atlanta died Thursday, May 23, 2013. She was born February 28, 1937 in Louisville, Mississippi to the late Frank J. Libby and Florence Blankenship Libby. She was preceded in death by her husband George Pearce and a son Joseph Murphy.
Before retiring to Chattanooga she was the Administrative Head of the Medical Technology Lab at Grady Memorial Hospital and was a member of St. Bede’s Episcopal Church, where she served on the altar guild.
Mrs. Pearce was an active member of St. Martin of Tours Episcopal Church. as well as the altar guild there.
Survivors include her brother David (Donna) Libby of Memphis, sister-in-law Josephine Woods o f Chattanooga, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, May 25, 2013 at St. Martin of Tours Episcopal Church with the Reverend Jim Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Memorial services will also be held 2:00 pm Saturday, June 1, 2013 at St. Bede’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Pearce’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
