George Glenn Miller, 85, of East Ridge, TN passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026 in a local hospital. He was a graduate of Tennessee Temple University with a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Studies. He pastored and taught for several years before retiring from Eightco Warehouse. He was a member of Stanley Heights Baptist Church in East Ridge. George enjoyed woodworking, music, playing the guitar and metal detecting.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Jackson and a daughter, Sandra Jean Himes.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Judy Miller; three daughters, Debbie (Mike) Pruitt, Becky (Phillip) Williams and Lori (Len) Himes; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Jackson; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Friday, March 20 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road. A service celebrating George’s life will be held at 2 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Brent Baughman officiating.
