

Helen was a member of the Church of the Nativity; per her request no service will be offered. She was born to parents Louis B. Morin and the former Wilma Meier in Escanaba, Michigan on November 9 1918.
As a young woman in the depression era, her parents could afford one course of cont. education, Helen chose shorthand. Was hired as a medical secretary and felt privileged to transcribe the first notes for the polio vaccine. Her love of dance inspired her to open a dance studio in NY State. She was hired by the NY Youth Commission to teach dance in the school system. In 1982 Helen retired as a ticket agent for Eastern Airlines and then moved to Sebring Florida. She was an active member of Highlands Little Theatre and the Sebring Elks for over 25 yrs.
Given a stage to herself, she embarked on a new career as an amateur writer and stand-up comic. Helen was a natural, her beautiful smile, flair for humor and great timing gave her both the stage and the spotlight. Her writings were published in local papers and performed for organizations throughout Sebring FL. Expanding 30 yrs, Helens unique gifts within the field of parapsychology were recognized .Teaching classes, guest speaking in colleges, organizations and radio broadcasts. Before moving to East Ridge TN, Helen was a world traveler. She loved to socialize and be active. She enjoyed dancing, bridge, Tai Chi, bingo, swimming and golf. Helen was well known for her putting on the local golf courses throughout Chattanooga. Her more adventurous side could still be seen in her tender yrs. of 80’ish. By discovering the thrill of white water rafting and the kick of boogie boarding. She would often say” I would pass up any one talent, only if I could learn how to sew” Not realizing she had been sewing all along, not with tangible fabric, but with the threads of her love and the fabric of the lives of those she touched in her 94 yrs.
Helen was predeceased by her parents, brother, Keith, husband, Peter Stefania, son David Carr, Sebring FL.and grandson, James Eric Carr, Chattanooga TN
Her contributions of self are numerous and will be dearly missed by son, James (Jamie) Carr, East Ridge TN, daughter Lynne Warner, Maryville TN sons Michael, Sebring Fl., Stephen Carr, Ballground GA, Dave David, Boston Mass, Bob David, Venice FL.; 11 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; Daughters in law, family members and friends.
In admiration to her spirit, the donation of selfless acts of kindness may be made in her honor.
