Mrs. Wright was born in Dalton, Georgia and raised in Chattanooga. She was a member of Good Shepard Lutheran Church. Helen was also a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved and enjoyed her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John S. Wright, Jr., her parents, Jeff and Cassie Thompson; and 4 siblings.
Surviving are her son, Charles Wright and wife, Sheila; granddaughters, Chiesa (Joel) Williams and Charisse (Robert) Houseye; great-grandsons, Chase Houseye, Cory Houseye and John Williams; and brother, Buddy Thompson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday and 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the funeral home with Jack Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Toney Denton, Jean Creekmore, Mona Malone and Ashley Wilson, for the special love and care they gave her.
