

Andy was born November 22, 1953 in Chattanooga, TN., to the late Herbert LeBron Andrews and Charlotte Rogers Andrews. Andy worked for FedEx Freight for 31 years and in the trucking industry for 50 years. He was an active member of Crosspath Church (formerly East Ridge Baptist) where he served as deacon and taught preschool Sunday school. Andy’s passion after his family was collecting Lionel Trains. He graduated from East Ridge High School in 1971. He was a collector of “all things”.
He was preceded in death by his aforementioned parents and a sister, Debra Grigsby.
Left behind to cherish Andy’s memory are his wife of 44 years, Nancy Borden Andrews, his son, Herbert LeBron Andrews III “Drew”, daughter, Whitney Andrews, and a granddaughter, Charley, several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Andy’s Life will be held in the Crosspath Church on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 5:00 pm with Rev. William Jacques officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church beginning at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 12:00 pm in the Lakewood Memory Gardens East, Garden of Resurrection section. Those wishing to attend the committal service are requested to meet at 11:45 am at the cemetery.
