

Hilda “Nana” Dunagan Crabtree died at home on 3/17/21. She was a wonderful mother - grandmother and great grandmother and loved by her family and friends. She was the daughter of Walter and Bess Dunagan, grew up in St. Elmo - attended Chattanooga High School - graduated in 1939. Her family and friends were looking forward to celebrating her 100th birthday on April 29, born in 1921.
She is survived by son, Fred Myers (Carol) of San Antonio TX, Charlotte Diamond (Wiley) of Houston TX and Mimi Holtcamp (Steve) of Chattanooga; grandchildren James Richter, Jr. (Jil) of San Antonio TX, Beth Sorensen (Carl) of Houston TX, John Diamond (Kristen) of Houston TX, Jennie Weizel (Daniel) of Dallas TX, Billy Holtcamp of Maryville TN, Lauren Cooley (Andy) of Chattanooga and 6 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Hilda’s Life will be held on Tuesday March 23, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior starting at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest in the Forest Hills Cemetery
A special thanks to her wonderful caregivers Beth Stanley and Hearth Hospice staff - most recently Amanda, Tammy and Jasmine.
In lieu of flowers the family request a donation be made to a charity of your choice in Hilda’s memory.
We respectfully request that all current mandates set forth by the CDC and the Hamilton County Health Department be adhered to. This includes “social distancing” and wearing masks at all times while on the premises.
