Jackie Lamarr Geer Sr.

Rev. Jack L. Geer, Sr, 64, of Rossville, GA passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Jack was a dedicated Christian who loved his Lord and is now with Him in Heaven. Jack worked several years at Nation Hosiery Mill and was recently employed by Securitas Security. He was a member of Lakeview Wesleyan Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendant and teacher.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Edna Burnette Geer; daughter, Becki (Jerry) York; sons, Jackie L. Jr and John H. Geer; stepdaughter, Melissa (Chris) Sexton; stepson, Ray Parrish; grandchildren, Mekayla, Austin, Nicolas, Noah, Jack Henry, Tyler and Aubree Grace. He leaves behind a nephew and several nieces.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray, Jerry and Bobby Ray Geer; dad, Houston Geer; and mother, Jo Gus Geer.

The family’s thanks go out to Dr. Edward Arrowsmith’s staff of COHA, Dr. William Cornwell and staff, USA Surgical and the many dedicated employees of Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday and 11 AM to 12 Noon on Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Myron Banther officiating.

Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
