James Patrick Coleman, 55, passed away Friday, December 2, 2011 at his home. He was preceded in death by his father, Lambert Coleman, who Jim assisted greatly during his lengthy illness. Jim was a great athlete who excelled in swimming, wrestling at Notre Dame HS and any athletic challenge of any kind! He had a great sense of humor, a big heart and was loving and caring. He was also an avid reader. He will be missed but never forgotten.
Survivors include his amazing mother and step-father, Libby Coleman Cline and Bo Cline, Chattanooga; 3 brothers: Tom Coleman (Anita Sanders), Charlotte, NC; Joe Coleman (Julie), Atlanta, GA; Tim Coleman (Leigh Ann), Chattanooga; nephew Joe Coleman, Jr. (Liz); niece Shannon Coleman Reynolds (Joe); stepsister Terry Cline Jacob (Mike); Scott Cline (Cindy); aunts, uncles, 60 first cousins and other family.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. A memorial mass will be held at 11 AM at the church with Father James Vick officiating.
