

James W. (Jim) Longshore, 64, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 9, 2010. He was a member of Lookout Valley Baptist Church. Jim graduated from Central High School and then entered the US Marine Corps serving from 1963 to 1967. For most of his life he was an electrician, most recently with Adman Electric and was a member of IBEW Local 175 where he was on the E-Board. Mr. Longshore was the owner of Marble Masters and had been a home builder with Longshore General Contracting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Clyde and Virginia Lucille Bishop Longshore and his first wife, Gynn Longshore.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Patrick Longshore; one son, Shea (Leslie) Longshore; one daughter, Lisa Longshore (Jeff) Link; two step-sons, Mike (Vonda) Patrick and Blair (Susan) Patrick; Sister, Wanda Clouse; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Shea, Madeleine, Lexi, Jack, Lili and Matt; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, West. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to children’s charities.
