Julia Ann Ashlock

Julia Ann (Bronnenberg) Ashlock, long time resident of Lookout Mountain, Georgia went to be with her Lord on October 18, 2024 at age 99. A graduate of Ball State in Muncie and Butler University in Indianapolis, she taught in the early childhood grades for many years in several states. It was Julia's heart's desire for children to know and love Jesus, and it was her great joy to teach them the Scriptures. She was an active member of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, where she served as an early childhood teacher, and a prayer warrior for many. She also served with the local Child Evangelism Fellowship and held neighborhood good news clubs. Julia loved and served her family, her church family, and the Covenant College community where her husband worked. She delighted in preparing and serving delicious meals and desserts.

She is survived by her daughter Joli (Joe) Moore and son Alan Ashlock; grandchildren April (David) Duffey, Justin (Marcia) Ashlock, Joshua (Jessica) Moore, Joanna (Eric) Reiss, Benjamin (Dana) Ashlock, Joseph Moore, John Moore, and Jason (Shannon) Moore; and 14 great-grandchildren; brother Jon Lloyd (Gay) Bronnenberg and sister Nina Bronnenberg. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ashlock; parents, John and Neva Bronnenberg; brothers Cletis Bronnenberg, Paul Bronnenberg, Peter Keith Bronnenberg and Cecil Bronnenberg; and sisters Sara Lou Bronnenberg, Grethchen Stohler and Zella Shirey.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 26 in Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church's Jane Harris Youth Building, 301 N. Watauga Ln., Lookout Mtn., TN from 10:00 - 11:45 AM, followed by a memorial service in the church sanctuary at 12:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church or Covenant College.
