Julia M Falls, 109, of Chattanooga died Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Mrs. Falls was born May 10, 1905 in Meigs County, Tennessee a daughter of John Riley Moore and Mary Caroline Couch Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Raymond Falls; children, Raymond Dean Falls, Phyllis Opal Kelly, and Billy Gordon Falls; brothers, Fred, Albert, Ike, Emmett, and Leroy Moore; sisters, Dora Couch, Lena Hendricks, Nellie Combs, and Mattie Staples; and a grandson Billy Ray Falls.
Mrs. Falls was a masterful gardener, who enjoyed sharing her bounty with others. She was a wonderful cook, who was famous for her chili. She enjoyed crocheting and reading.
Survivors include a daughter Gayle (Doyle) Boring, nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Friday, May 1 at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with Dr. John Burkett officiating.
The family will receive friends at the East Chapel, Chattanooga Funeral Home from 4-8 Thursday evening and Friday from 9:30- 10:30.
