Lona Weathers

Born Feb 8, 1920, she was preceded in death by her parents James P. and Martha (Linda) Duncan Green, sisters Edith Burgess and Edna Blake, brothers Thomas, Roy, Quinn, Buddy and Rev Wallace Green.

She leaves behind her children, Teri Sue (Eddie) Wright, David Lankford and Marilyn Reppond; grandchildren Kevin (Christy) Wright, Curtis Wright, Kimberly (Tommy) Poe and Donny Stiefel; six great grandchildren and several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Weathers was a member of Boynton Church of God. She played piano and organ as a service to her church(s). She was a “Senior member” of the Allemande Hall Cloggers of East Ridge, she enjoyed playing the piano and her keyboard at variety shows for Allemande Hall E/R and at the Red Bank Senior center on Thursday nights as well as the Sunday Gospel Jam at Brainerd United Methodist Church.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Thursday, April 8, 2010, at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 9, 2010 at the funeral home with visitation one hour before services.

Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South in Rossville, GA.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist. 404 South Moore Road.
