Louie Jackson McDaniel, 94, of East Ridge passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 in a local hospital. He had been a member of Avondale Baptist Church prior to joining East Ridge Baptist Church which is now known as Crosspath. Louie had been music director at several area churches. He was past President and past Lt. Governor of the Brainerd Optimist Club. Louie was retired from Chattanooga Funeral Home after many years as a Funeral Director.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Nolan McDaniel, his parents, George J. and Jessie B. Lively McDaniel, one brother and seven sisters.
Survivors include his daughter, Dianne (Clark) Medley of Birmingham, AL; son, David J. (Kathie) McDaniel of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews a special friend Gail Veron.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating.
Entombment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-9 PM Monday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
