Lynda Weidner

Lynda Weidner, 75, of Chattanooga passed away Friday, October 18, 2024. She was born in Ocala, Florida on August 19, 1949 and raised in Dunedin Florida where she graduated from Dunedin High School in 1967. Following graduation she continued her education at Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens TN. Lynda was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority in which she served as Panhellenic President and was recognized by Who's Who among students in American Universities and Colleges. She received a Bachelors in Art and began Teaching interior design and art at Cleveland High School. She continued her career as a teacher for several more years before devoting her life to raising her family. She is Survived by her husband Michael Weidner and her two children, Monica (Michael) Wright and Marshall (Kaye) Murphy, Grandchildren Ryan Gage (Mary) Dodd, Garrett Wright, Chase Powell, Caleb Powell and Briana (Dylan) Wiles and several great grandkids, nieces & nephews. She is also survived by loving brothers and sisters in law John Pat (Beth) Weidner, Mary (Rich) Morgan, Myra (Tom) Adams and William (Yvonne) Weidner. She was preceded in death by her parents Stansell and Mildred McCullough.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Charlie Burton officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, Tennessee.
