Marguerite Parker

Marguerite was a member of East Ridge Church of Christ and was retired from TVA. She was known for her sense of humor, kind heart and determination. Her biggest challenge in her senior years was to be on the receiving end of all the love and support that she had provided to so many throughout her life. She was an independent, strong willed, loving woman whose first words were always “how can I help”. She logged countless volunteer hours at her church, local hospitals, and simply helping those in need.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Morgan Parker.

Surviving are her sons, John (Graham) Parker and their daughter, Ann, and Ward (Joan) Parker and their children, Kayla and Russell; and sister in spirit, Mabel Simmons.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday and 10 to 11 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the funeral home with Minister John Cupp and Minister Charles Cochran officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to Martin-Boyd Christian Home, 6845 Standifer Gap Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist. 404 South Moore Road.
