Mrs. Burris was born and raised in Chattanooga. She retired from Olan Mills as a Final Proofing Supervisor and belonged to the Quarter Century Club. She was a graduate of Tyner High School and a member of Harmony Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis S. Burris.
Surviving are her children, Linda (Lynn) Long, Connie (Anthony) Bondi, Tim (LaWanda) Burris and Cathy Gillman; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Doralee Shields and Mary (Franklin) Matthews; brother, J. W. (Barbara) Walters; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor David Crane and Pastor Tavner Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
