Mary Elizabeth Simonds

Elizabeth was born on May 25, 1928, to the late J. Clifford and Gladys (Fleming) Jones. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Don Hudson and Kenneth Simonds.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Donna Raulston Moss and Mary Hudson Hawkins; two favorite sons-in-law: Mike Hawkins and Bob Moss; three grandsons and their wives: Ron and Megan Raulston, Steve and Kristina Hawkins; and Jeff and Gianne Hawkins; six great-grandchildren: Will, Ben and Kate Raulston, Dillon and Breanna Hawkins and new baby, Max Hawkins. Also, a stepson and wife: Doug and Beth Simonds, their daughters and grandchildren.

Before being homebound, Elizabeth was an active member of First Presbyterian Church and served on the Committee of It’s A Wonderful Life for 20 years. She had a servant’s heart and avoided attention or recognition.

A funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Chattanooga Funeral Home- East Chapel with Rev. Chris Ehlers officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. A private entombment will take place at Lomenick Mausoleum in East Ridge, TN.
