Robert (Bob) George Twomey Jr, of Ringgold, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the age of 87. Bob was born in Alabama and moved to Chattanooga as a child. Later he moved to the north Georgia area. He was born to the late Robert Twomey Sr and Miriam Twomey. He graduated from City High School.
He was a licensed electrician and co-owned and operated Service Electric founded by his father. After he retired, he started his own business using his skills as a woodworker to craft commissioned furniture and cabinets. He served in the Tennessee National Guard. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years Peggy, and son, Donald Twomey.
He is survived by his children Michael (Dee) Twomey of Hixson, TN and Paul (Anne) Twomey of Ringgold, Ga; grandchildren, Taylor Twomey, Hilary Coker Gandy (Eric), April Summers (Bryan), Jacob (Nichole) Twomey, Mason (Llydia) Twomey, Noah Twomey, Emilee Jones, Constance Twomey, Lacey Twomey; 11 great grandchildren; sister Norma Thedford and many nieces and nephews.
Bob will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend that will be dearly missed. He was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and leaves a lasting legacy of faith and family.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 17 from 4-7 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home East and Sunday, August 18 from 1-1:45 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m.
Interment for family will be Monday, Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. at Lakewood Memorial Gardens East.
