I've been in touch with Ruth since we started having Baxter Seminary Dorm Reunions. She has shared her many hospital visits and the battle she so bravely fought. When I didn't hear from her I went online and found this obituary. She was a real trooper. You, her family and Jerry will definitely feel a loss. We, her Baxter Seminary friends, will miss her too. Lisa and Megan,

We feel like we lost a great friend when your Mom died!
Ruth and James worked together for probably 5 years in the mid 80's at Norfolk Southern. He has always had the highest praise for your Mom. She was always a true professional. She was always willing to go the 2nd mile in the office to make things run smoothly. James has always had such high respect for her!
For the last many years every time we came to Atlanta, we would contact her and we would meet at the Varsity and visit. Of course, Jerry was always invited and in most cases came. What a wonderful time we always had!
Please accept our most sincere sympathy at this time. We have both lost our Mothers and we know how difficult it is to find a new normal and live a life without her. We will be praying for you both as you adapt to that new normal.
Linda and James Williams
