Anna Ruth Morgan, 92, of Chattanooga, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, JESUS, and all her family and friends who had accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior before departing this earthly life, early Thursday morning, June 4, 2015.
Oh, what a grand and glorious day it was for Ruth! She was welcomed, we’re sure, by JESUS and a great Heavenly host of others, into Heaven, forever free of pain, heartaches, and suffering - - of which she was no stranger to here on this earth.
Ruth was born September 26, 1922 to Albert and Mary Jane Morgan. She was their only child. And though they were not rich in earthly possessions, they gave Ruth an abundance of love and faith - - which sustained Ruth all of her earthly life, and carried her safely home to JESUS, family and friends, early Thursday morning.
Ruth married her childhood sweetheart, Hurshel Morgan, on December 22, 1945. Great love and great faith held their union together here on this earth for over 40 years – until Hurshel departed for Heaven in 1992. Hallelujah, glory to God, today - - Ruth and Hurshel are together again, walking on streets of gold, singing, rejoicing and praising JESUS, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
God blessed their union here on earth with 2 children, Philip Hurshel and Sharon Rose. Both of their children inherited a great love for others, and a great faith in God from their parents.
Today, both Philip and Sharon are both actively living for JESUS, and awaiting their day of departure to join Mom and Dad around that Heavenly Throne.
Both Bonnie and Jim were loved and accepted by Ruth as her very own children. And two of Ruth’s greatest joys in this life were the births of her grandchildren, Adam Kenneth Loyd, and Lisa Michelle Morgan. They were simply “her” kids too, as she often told others. Truly, no grandmother could have loved her children more.
Also, Ruth was blessed with more grandchildren when Adam and Lisa grew up and married mates of their own. Brandon Mendenhall and Brigette DeArman were happily received into Ruth’s heart.
And Ruth’s great-grandchildren, Hunter Morgan, Eric Mendenhall, and Antony Rocha were all just that – “GREAT” grandchildren to Ruth, and she loved and treasured each one.
And, we know all of Ruth’s family and friends will always remember and treasure the great love she bestowed upon each one.
Visitation will be from 10 AM to 8 PM today, Saturday, at the funeral home.
Ruth’s children would like to invite all of Ruth’s family and friends to join us for a celebration of Ruth’s life at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 2 PM.
Burial will follow at Cranmore Cove Cemetery in Dayton, TN.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist. 404 South Moore Road.
