Sharon A Mizell

Sharon Ann Miller Mizell, born November 13, 1947, passed away at the age of 78 on April 17,2026. Sharon was a devoted and lifelong member of Tiftonia Church of Christ where she served faithfully since she was a child.

She was married to the love her life, James Mizell for 49 years, before his passing in 2017. Sharon and James raised two sons, Ron and Ricky Mizell. She adored her boys and taught them life lessons that they carry with them today. She showed them unconditional love, and they each have those memories of her love that they will never forget. She was the best mom.

Her grandchildren, Brooke and Tyler; you both brought her so much happiness, laughter and Love in her life. She cherished you both and was so very proud of you as adults.

Her great grandchild Walker; she loved you and we will make sure that you know her through pictures and our memories.

Sharon was kind, soft-spoken, beautiful inside and out, loved beach trips, and she loved and will miss her wonderful neighbors, her longtime friends, Jim and Katie Appleberry and her beloved little companion "Rosie".

Sharon's proudest moments were "Being baptized at the age of 16", "Getting married”, “Becoming a mother”, “When my sons got married", and "When my grandchildren were born".

Now reunited with her loving husband, Sharon can rest in eternal peace surrounded by loved ones who have gone before.

Sharon was preceded in death, by her husband James Mizell, Father and Mother, Lois and Katherine Miller.

Sharon is survived by two sons, Ron (Lisa) Mizell, Ricky (Tawnya) Mizell, two grandchildren Brooke (Trevor), Tyler (Lexi). One great grandchild Walker, one brother Larry (Carol) Miller and several nephews and niece.

The family will receive friends on Monday April 20th, 2026, from 4-8 pm, and on Tuesday April 21st from 11am-12 pm with service following at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road. Burial will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens, West in Lookout Valley.
