Shirley Bischoff Waters, 85, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away, Wednesday, May 7, 2014. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was a member of the Brainerd United Methodist Church. A graduate of Brenau University, she was a member of the ZETA TAU ALPH Sorority, and was also a member of the Wolftever Fishing Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Waters, Sr. and a great-granddaughter Jessica Burkhalter. Survivors include her daughter, Janet Hudson; son, Richard L. (Vikki) Waters, Jr.; two grandsons, Christian Sexton and Robert Hudson; granddaughter, Emily (Jack) Findley. Graveside funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday at Chattanooga Memorial Park with Dr. Dennis Flaugher officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road.
