

Shirley was a Communicant of Our Lady of The Mount Catholic Church, Lookout Mountain, Georgia.
She is the daughter of the late John W. Logan and Shirley Hedges Mebane and step father, Robert J. Mebane, Jr.
Preceded in death by L. Samuel Waymouth and one daughter, Virginia L. Waymouth, brother John Wells Logan, Jr. and sister, Mary Logan (Mrs. William O.) Ezell.
Shirley is survived by her sons, L. Samuel Waymouth II (Priscilla) of Clover, SC, Robert M. Waymouth (Winnie) of Palo Alto, CA, William L. Waymouth (Donna) of Danville, VA, and Thomas G. Waymouth (Denise) of Raleigh, NC, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, her sisters Margaret M. Johnson, and Robin M. Parks (Larry), and countless cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Shirley was born on August 10, 1936 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She attended and graduated from St. Katherine’s Boarding School, in Nazareth, KY, and attended Manhattanville College in White Plains, NY. Raising her family in New Milford, CT, she worked as a sales rep for Women on the Run, and later held a real estate license in Connecticut. She moved to Wilmington, NC where she sold real estate and was employed by Logan Homes. In retirement she returned to her Lookout Mountain home and later Alexian Village.
Shirley was a joyful person who loved life. She traveled the world, never met a stranger, and those who met her never forgot her. She was a generous person who loved her family and her Catholic faith. She was passionate about the ministries in which she participated. She was a lector, Eucharistic Minister, and member of the Serra Club of Chattanooga.
A funeral is scheduled for a later date when the entire family can gather.

The family would like to thank the wonderful people at Alexian Village, Signal Mountain, TN for making Shirley’s final years so vibrant and full of fellowship.
