Suanne T Johnson, 82 of Chattanooga went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Born in Montgomery AL, May 30, 1939, she was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. After graduating from St John’s College, she took a call to teach at the Lutheran School (BCA) in Chattanooga, TN. She loved the Lord and was an active member of First Lutheran Church on McCallie Avenue. She was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Field Tinnea, mother, Annie Blackwell Tinnea, and grandson, Samuel Massey Johnson. She is survived by her sons, Danny (Krisi), Erik, Kirk (Jennifer) Johnson, and six grandchildren, Grace, Logan, Aidan, Caroline, Caleb and Alexander “AJ” Johnson; sister, Ida Jane (Roger) Larson and nephews Rick and Scott (Leah) Abel. A memorial service will be held at 1pm Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at First Lutheran Church with Pastors Scott Abel, Gilbert Pingel, and Don Welmer officiating. The family will receive friends from 11am-1:00pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who feel inclined to provide memorial contributions to First Lutheran Church.
