Terry was born August 25, 1954 in Nashville, Tennessee, but was raised in Chattanooga. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, and a graduate of O.L.P.H. School. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1972. While at Notre Dame Terry was an outstanding athlete and had all county achievements in football as a quarterback, baseball as a shortstop, and basketball as a point guard. He went on to play college baseball at Volunteer State Community College and Birmingham-Southern College. Terry’s team at Birmingham-Southern was ranked first in the nation his senior year, and he played shortstop in the 1975 World Series. After college Terry returned to Chattanooga where he continued to involve himself in sports in the Chattanooga area, particularly the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame High School.
Terry will forever be remembered for his never ending generosity, his kindness, his big hugs, his big heart, and most of all his “Terry Talks”. Terry was all about the love.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Dot and Joe Enos. He is survived by his children: Ashlynn (Matt) Boyd, Joseph Enos and Tyler Enos; and his grandchildren Ryder and Delaney Boyd. He is also survived by his Goddaughter, Gracie Johnson; his very special Lilly Bear; and many other extended family members and devoted friends. He was loved by all he met, and never met a stranger.
His children will be hosting a Celebration of his Life at the Gallery, 3918 Dayton Blvd, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37415, on Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 5 to 8 pm. In true Terry fashion, everyone should plan on dressing comfortably and if you’re feelin’ froggy, throw on a pair of cargo shorts and a Hawaiian shirt. We plan on giving Dad a sendoff filled with nothing but love.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at the Celebration of Life for an educational fund, on behalf of Terry’s grandchildren, Delaney and Ryder.
Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Rd. East Ridge, TN 37412.
