Our beautiful husband, father, grandfather and friend, Richard Tim Reno passed into life December 29th after a five-year battle with cancer. Our quiet man has completed his service to the world. He was a 20-year veteran of the USAF and upon retirement took his place at TVA running their data center where he made many friends and relished their Wednesday TVA golf league. After TVA, he continued working with Alexian Village, St. Augstine Catholic Church on Signal Mountain and LOWES before he finally gave up his service to mankind and enjoyed the quiet life with wife, Kathy and his children Meredith and Joel. Visiting family and friends became his focus and traveling. Ireland was his favorite stop since he was an avid University of Notre Dame fan! Tim's air force life began 3 years into college at New Mexico Highlands University until Uncle Sam called him to service where he faithfully served his country. He had traveled West on a football scholarship to the University out of Johnson City High School, Johnson City, NY. He and Kathy met on a blind date and had been married 55 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Ruthe Reno, his brother, Dennis Reno and sister-in-law, Mary Reno. Tim is survived by his wife, Kathleen and two children, Meredith Reno, Joel (Andrea) Reno and grandson, Quinn Summers. Siblings Susan (Paul) Kliment, Jamie Reno, John (Denise) Reno, and sister-in-law Kathy Reno. Also, Kathleen’s extended family and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11AM Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 501 South Moore Road, East Ridge, Tennessee 37412.
