Charlotte S Burch

Born in East Stroudsburg on April 21, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Turrell and Lulu (Imbt) Keller. Charlotte was educated in the East Stroudsburg School district and was a member of the first graduating class of the Stroudsburg School of Cosmetology. She was the owner and operator of the Royal Salon in East Stroudsburg for many years until its closing. Charlotte was also employed by Shoprite in Stroudsburg for many years, until her retirement on her 65 birthday in April of 1996. During her retirement Charlotte enjoyed to travel, loved doing puzzles, crocheting, painting and was a very crafty person.

Charlotte was a member of the Analomink United Methodist Church, Analomink; and was a lifelong resident of East Stroudsburg.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her husband Harvey Royal Burch who passed away on June 11, 1986.

Surviving is her daughter, Tammy L. Garde and her husband Thomas of East Stroudsburg; sisters, Evelyn Litts, and her husband Lester of East Stroudsburg; Dolores Hartmann and her husband Roger of East Stroudsburg; and Mildred Metzgar of Analomink; grandchildren, Michael Garde and his wife Jennifer of Glendora, NJ; Lindsay, Emily and Christopher Garde all of East Stroudsburg; great-grandchildren, Lillian, Madelynn and Eva Garde; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial prayer service will be held on Saturday March 23, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, with Fr. Jeffrey J. Walsh officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Family and friends may gather at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, from the time of the service until 1:00.
