Damon Dennis Eppley

Damon was born on April 13, 1965, at Pocono Hospital in East Stroudsburg, and was the son of Richard Eppley and the late Joyce Eppley. He is survived by his twin brother, Dane Eppley of East Stroudsburg, his sister, Dawn Eppley Chighizola of East Stroudsburg, his brother, Daryl Eppley and his wife, Cheryl of Stroudsburg, and his brother, Daren Eppley of Toms River, New Jersey. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews and two great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dean Eppley in February 2014 and his mother, Joyce Eppley in October 2014.

Damon was a 1983 graduate of East Stroudsburg High School. He graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelor’s degree Political Science and his Master’s in Elementary Education. He had taught Fourth Grade at the Pocono Elementary Center in the Pocono Mountain School District. He had been a Road Manager for blues singer Shemekia Copeland. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force as an intelligence analyst. He was member of he CLU Club. Damon was self-employed. He was a “Jack of all trades”. He painted, snow plowed and completed general home handyman services. He made himself available to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Damon enjoyed playing with his dogs, Bella and Sorella, listening to blues while cruising in his Cadillac, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, working on his great-uncle’s cabin, and helping and spending time with family and friends while easily making new ones along his life’s journey.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM followed by a memorial service on Friday, April 17, 2015, at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St. East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. Cremation is entrusted to the Lanterman-Allen Funeral Home.
