
Born February 13, 1917 in Smithfield Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Elizabeth (Kinney) Smith.
Dorothy was an incredible mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and Friend. Dorothy was always positive and happy; her family brought her much joy. She was able to travel back and forth to Florida, where she resided for six months of the year to be with the other half of her family.
Dorothy retired after 30 years of employment as a housekeeper at The East Stroudsburg University. She was an active member of The First Baptist Church in East Stroudsburg while she resided in the Poconos and a member of West Pines Baptist Church in West Palm Beach, FL. She was a very active member of the Jubilee Plus senior’s activity club.
She was so kind and loving; her presence will be sincerely missed.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy had been preceded in death by her brothers: Ike Smith, Cecil Smith, and Robert Smith.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Anna Williams and her husband John, of East Stroudsburg and Wanda Wagner and her husband Thomas, of West Palm Beach, FL; her grandchildren: Ann Williams and her husband Gerrit Williams, of East Stroudsburg, PA; Susan Slama and her husband Claus, of East Stroudsburg, PA; John J. Williams and his wife Melissa, of Saylorsburg, PA; Michael J. Williams, of Glen Burnie, MD; Tom Wagner Jr. and his wife Linda, of West Palm beach, FL; Cecil Wagner and his wife Wendy, of Wellington, FL; Alfred Wagner and his wife Sandy, of Okeechobee, FL; and Michael Wagner , of West Palm Beach, FL; Her Great-Grandchildren: Rachael and her husband Joel, Gerrit Jr, Elizabeth, Victoria, Karli and her husband Ryan, Hayley, Austin, TJ and his wife Shannon, Brandon and his wife DeeDee, Dylan, Tyler and his wife Brittany, Hunter, and Cody; and Six Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Graveside for the committal service held at Prospect Cemetery on Tuesday, March 8 at 10:00am followed by a memorial service at 11:00am held at the First Baptist Church, 160 N Courtland St, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
