Florence N. Leap

Florence N. (Snyder) Leap, 90, of East Stroudsburg, passed away peacefully Thursday February 08, 2018 at the Slate Belt Nursing Rehab and Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Raymond Leap and shared 54 years of marriage.

Born October 13, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Iva (Newhard) Snyder.

Florence was a lifelong resident of Monroe County. She was employed by East Stroudsburg University as a housekeeper for many years. She enjoyed Bingo, and going to the casinos in Atlantic City. Florence also loved playing games and cards with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons; Ernest and his wife Brenda of East Stroudsburg, Raymond and his wife Sandra of Florida, and Gary and his wife Lisa also of Florida: sister; Mildred Gillingham of Allentown: also; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by sisters; Betty Williamson and Violet Cryor: brother Luther M. Synder

A visitation will be held on Tuesday February 13 from 11:00-12:00pm followed by a prayer service officiated by Pastor Jim Todd at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home Inc 27 Washington St. East Stroudsburg. Interment will be at the Prospect Cemetery.
