
Born November 4, 1940 in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late George Herman Lippold II and the late Ethel (Hildebrandt) Lippold.
As a graduate of James Monroe High School class of 1958, George furthered his education, eventually obtaining his master’s degree in mathematics and school administration. George was a math teacher at James Monroe High School and retired as an administrator at Samuel Gompers High School in the Bronx, NY. George then went on to tutor children at Benjamin Banneker Academy in Brooklyn, NY. George was a member of the softball teams Clover leafs, STEM, and UBXC.
George was a die-hard Mets fan who loved his Rock N Roll. He will also be remembered shouting at the TV while watching Jeopardy; he knew all the answers. George also enjoyed the crossword puzzles in the New York Times, which he would do daily. He was a great father, friend, mentor, and educator. His spirit will be sincerely missed.
In addition to his parents, George had been preceded in death by a brother, Charles W. Lippold.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving companion, Winifred Liptak; his sister: Lorraine Davis; his children: Rochelle, Mark and his companion Katherine, Wayne and his wife Jennifer, Tanya and her husband Kirk, Jed and his wife Synthia, and George and his fiancé Katherine; his grandchildren: Cayne, Julissa, Deandre, Coree, Cy, Daniel, Layla, Jetta, Ceph, Angel, Jenna, Cevyn, Cora, Sophia, Kara, Gia, and June.
