Julia Ann McCann

Born on March 11, 1925 in St. Petersburg, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Still and the late Marleah (Coon) Still. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph McCann, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage before his passing in August 1991.

Julia worked at several jobs over her lifetime, most recently at Perkin-Elmer (now Applera) in Flanders, NJ.

Julia loved flowers and plants of all kinds, and was an avid birdwatcher. She loved to play cards and bingo with her friends, and spent much of her free time reading.

In addition to her parents and late husband Joseph, Julia was preceded in death by her sister Catherine and brother Floyd.

Surviving are her children: Elaine McCann Hoglan and her husband Hugh, of Sedona, Arizona; Glen McCann and his partner Sue Nowlin, of Cincinnati Ohio; Theresa Koster and her husband Michael, of Netcong NJ; and Jeanne Guz and her husband Thomas, of Galloway NJ; her grandchildren Dan, Joe and Elise McCann; Erin, Kelly and Michael Koster; and Andrew and Brian Guz; and great-granddaughter Rylan McCann.

A public visitation will be held on Monday April 18, 2016 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM followed by a prayer service officiated by Father Lyman of St. Matthews Roman Catholic Church at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home 27 Washington St. East Stroudsburg PA, 18301. Burial will take place at Laurel wood Cemetery in Stroudsburg PA.
