Lewis Augustus Lindo

Lewis was born on March 26th, 1937 in New York City, New York. He was the youngest of his fraternal twin brother Bertram Lindo.

Lewis was educated in the New York City public school system where he later graduated from Fredrick Douglas High School in New York City, New York. Upon completion of his educational studies, Lewis and his twin brother Bertram enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in April of 1954.

Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Bertram Lindo, Sr. and Sarah L. Nolund, his second wife Margaret, sister, Joyce Elaine Lindo and Aunt Delia Luisa Ortega.

Lewis is survived by his wife Sylvia Lindo of Tobyhanna Pennsylvania; first wife Mary Lindo, five sons; Lewis Lindo Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, Hakim and Aaron Lindo of Newark, New Jersey; Jose Rosado and Anthony Thompson of Tobyhanna Pennsylvania; three daughters; Lynette Simpson of Hillside, New Jersey, Yolanda Johnson of Union, New Jersey and Casandra Rosado of Tobyhanna Pennsylvania, his cherished and beloved fraternal twin brother, Bertram Lindo and wife Peggy Lindo of San Antonio, Texas as well as a host of beloved foster children, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and dear friends.

A gathering of friends and family will be at 10:00 AM until the time of service on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Lanterman and Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania 18301
