Louis J. Russo Sr.

Louis J. Russo Sr., 75, of Marshalls Creek, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Rita Ann (Williams) for 55 years.

Born in Brooklyn NY, he was the son of the late Louis Anthony and Loretta (Devlin) Russo.

He worked as the Director of Human Resources at Equitable Life Insurance for 40 years. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. Louis was a proud part of Habitat for Humanity, Hiking Clubs, and Toastmasters. He also enjoyed golf, traveling, investing in the stock markets, bridge and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Rita Ann; son Thomas Russo and his wife Theresa of East Brunswick NJ; daughters Christina (Russo) and her husband Frank Manuella of New Providence NJ, Rosemary (Russo) and her husband Neil Harren of Doylestown PA; grandchildren Louis Russo and his fiancé Christine, Evan Manuella, Samantha Harren and her fiancé Andrew, Alexandra Harren, Peter Manuella, Amanda Russo, Thomas Russo, Maxwell Harren, Alyssa Russo and Nicolas Russo.

Louis is predeceased by his parents, his sister Rosemary (Russo) Buckley and his son Louis Russo Jr.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday April 23, 2016 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home Inc. 27 Washington St. East Stroudsburg PA 18301. A prayer service will be held at 2:00PM officiated by Father Reichland of St Johns Roman Catholic Church. Inturnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers the family would like a memorial donation to be made in honor of Louis to the American Cancer Society 2158 W. Main St, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
