Marjorie Miranda

Spring Mill Senior Living Center. Marge was the caring, devoted wife of the late Robert Andrew Miranda

with whom she shared 34 years of marriage before his passing in 2000.

Born March 03, 1934 in Long Island, NY she was a daughter of the late Howard Vaughn Allum and Edna

Mae Horton Allum.

Marge graduated from Sewanhaka High School in New York. She was then employed with New York

Telephone Company where she was an Account Manager for many years; she then had her boys Robert

and Russel and was a homemaker. She was very involved in her community; she and her husband took

turns being on the board in their Pocono Mt. Lake Estates Community, she was a member of the Red Hat

Society, the Bushkill Garden Club and an official poll worker for Lehman Township. You could find

Marjorie at the Pike County Senior Center, reading or discovering the beauty of anthropology in different

countries with her daughter in-law.

Those left to cherish her memory are sons: Robert Joseph Miranda of Rhode Island, Russel Alan Miranda

and wife Amanda of Mont Clare, sister: Joan Jolly and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, a sister Doris Cach predeceases her.

A public visitation will be held on Monday August 1 from 11:30 AM – 1230 PM with a prayer service

immediately following at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home Inc. 27 Washington St. East Stroudsburg

PA 18301. A burial will proceed at the Laurelwood Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Marjorie to the Alzheimer’s association and or the

Pike County Senior Center.
